Solid Explorer now works with Scoped Storage on Android Q

Perhaps the most drastic change announced for Android Q was Scoped Storage, which changes file management on Android by limiting which folders apps can access. After complaints from developers that they wouldn't be able to update their apps in time for Q, Google said it wouldn't make Scoped Storage a requirement until Android R, but well-known file manager Solid Explorer has just added support anyway.

Solid Explorer is one of the best file managers for Android, as it offers plenty of features and isn't super shady I'm looking looking at you, ES File Manager.

Android does what Nintendon't: First unofficial ROM arrives on the Switch

Developer group 'switchroot' has been working on porting Android to the Nintendo Switch for a while now, and a few days ago, most of the documentation and installation guides appeared. If you've been itching to play Candy Crush on your Switch, the unofficial Android ROM has finally been released.

For those of you out of the loop, this is a port of LineageOS 15.1, based on Android 8.1 Pie. The installation process isn't too daunting if you already have a modded Switch with the Hekate bootloader write the system image to an SD card, download the proper Gapps package, flash everything through TWRP, and reboot into Android.
