Apple Watch Series 6 to Feature Improved Water Resistance, Faster Performance, More [Report]

The next generation Apple Watch Series 6 will reportedly feature faster performance, improved water resistance, and improved wireless transmission, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In a research note seen by MacRumors, Kuo says that these advancements will come from a switch to liquid crystal polymer (LCP) from polyimide (PI) for the flexible circuit board in the 2020 Apple Watch. The improvements in wireless transmission could lead to faster Wi-Fi and cellular speeds.

Dongshan Precision, Avary Holding, and Flexium Interconnect will reportedly be the primary LCP suppliers.
