Apple has asked TSMC to produce more A-series chips for its iPhones due to stronger than expected demand, reports Bloomberg.Even without fifth-generation wireless networking, iPhone demand has been outperforming the market and Apple’s expectations, and the company asked assembly partners to increase their production of the latest generation.
In particular, sources say that the iPhone 11 with an LCD screen, was a big driver of increased demand.
