Apple has begun accepting Red Cross donations to aid Australian Bushfire Relief.
Compared to previous seasons, this year's bushfires have been particularly devastating for the country. Fires have burned over 10.7 million hectares, destroyed over 5,900 buildings, and killed 28 people as of January 8th.
Ecologists at the University of Sydney and WWF Australia estimate that over 800 million mammals, birds and reptiles have been killed thus far and that number easily surpasses a billion if you add bats, frogs and invertebrates.
