The first benchmarks for Apple's new M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini have surfaced on Geekbench.There are four benchmarks in the result browser for the MacBook Air. The average single-core score for the new notebook is 1689 and the average multi-core score is 7084. Compare that to the fastest single-core MacBook, the 13-inch Mid 2020 MacBook Pro, at 1239 and the fastest multi-core MacBook, the 16-inch Late 2019 MacBook Pro, at 6870.
